Imagine Series

New for 2010, the Imagine series is our “Stage 1” offering, and is the “entry-level” speaker system from Hybrid Audio Technologies.  The Imagine series has the heritage and bloodlines of more-expensive Hybrid Audio Technologies products, but at a price that anyone can afford.  And we use "entry level" rather loosely, for we have shown this product to be far superior to many other competing brand's products up to, and exceeding twice to three times the price.

Imagine products boast a unique coaxial and convertible component set design allowing for wide-variety of installations, and a water-proof paper cone.  Each Imagine kit comes boxed as a coaxial, but also contains necessary parts for conversion into a component set.  Currently, a 6 ½” Imagine kit is available, and by Fall 2010, a 6 X 9” will be available.  And by early 2011, the line will include a 5 ¼” convertible set, a 6.5” subwoofer, and an 8” and 10” subwoofer as well.  The Imagine series brings high-end Hybrid Audio Technologies performance to the entry-level market.

Clarus Series

The “Stage 2” product line offered by Hybrid Audio Technologies is our Clarus series, a “cost-effective high end” option that has received the praises of the mass media and users worldwide. All design cues for the Clarus series were taken from the Legatia series.  Clarus was reviewed by Car Audio & Electronics Magazine and was found to be one of the top-three in the magazine's 16+ year history of reviewing products.

Clarus products come in two component set kits, the C51-2 (5 ¼”), and the C61-2 (6 ½”).  Each Clarus kit contains a pair of midbass, a pair of 20mm soft-dome tweeters, Clarus competition-grade crossovers with spring-loaded terminals (suitable for display), tweeter hardware with several tweeter mounting options, connection wire, and grilles.  The Clarus systems are a good “step up” in performance from the Imagine series.

Legatia Series

The widely-acclaimed Legatia Series is Hybrid Audio Technologies “Stage 3” product line; our original product offered starting in 2006, and competition-proven worldwide; the product that defined the company and its quality.  Legatia is a truly high-end approach to in-car sound quality and acoustical performance.  We know Legatia is not for everyone; it’s for those that want the very best in their car audio speakers and have refined listening habits.  Irrespective of price, Legatia components are the finest car audio speakers available, and are eclipsed only by our Stage 4 Special Edition Series, and the Stage 5 Legatia Pro series, below. 

Legatia products are sold in two- and three-way kits, and also ala carte, allowing you to design a custom “bespoke” system of Legatia products, or a combination of Legatia and other Hybrid Audio Technologies product offerings.  In the Legatia line, we offer the L3 (a 3.7” O.D. midrange), L4 (a 4.65” O.D. midrange), the L6 (a 7.1” O.D. midrange/midbass), and the L8 (an 8.5” O.D. midrange/midbass).  In addition to the midranges and midbass’ offered, we are pleased to introduce our Legatia L1V2, the second generation of the highly-acclaimed Legatia L1 tweeter.  The L1V2 is a 20mm soft-dome tweeter housed in a fully machined aluminum body, having spring-loaded terminals for ease of connection.  And like the Clarus competition crossovers, the Legatia crossovers are show-worthy networks consisting of the highest-grade parts and nickel-plated spring-loaded terminals.  The L2x, a bi-amplified two-way crossover is available now, with the L3x, a three-way bi-amplified crossover to be available soon.

Legatia Special Edition Series

The Stage 4 product line offered by Hybrid Audio Technologies is our Legatia Special Edition, a collection of seriously enhanced Legatia products that boast superior performance.  The SE series is a drop-in replacement for the existing Stage 3 Legatia products, for those wishing to enhance their audio systems, and/or to take advantage of Hybrid Audio Technology's Trade In and Trade Up program.   The Stage 4 Special Edition series is an improvement over the competition-proven Stage 3 product, as follows:

* wider bandwidth operation.
* higher mechanical Xmax.
* notably lower impedance at high frequency.
* higher thermal power handling by AES standard.
* higher thermal power handling with suggested crossover.
* slightly lower moving mass for better transient response.
* higher compliance of motor system.
* use of woven dual tinsel lead spider for mechanical balance and improved radial compliance.
* inclusion of high-energy neodymium cup and motor.
* inclusion of copper shorting cup for inductance mitigation.
* inclusion of aluminum radiator for heat dissipation.
* inclusion of copper-plated aluminum extended phase plug pole piece.
* inclusion of laser-etched back plate cap with Hybrid Audio Technologies logo and Special Edition nomenclature.
* improved blister packaging and improved gift box container and art work.

The intent of the Special Edition product is to provide a "bridge" between the Stage 3 Legatia product line, and the emerging Stage 5 Legatia Pro series product line, described below.

Legatia Pro Series

The Stage 5 product line offered by Hybrid Audio Technologies is our Legatia Professional Series.  The Pro series is the finest car audio speaker offering in the world, bar-none.

It has taken years to develop the first two Pro-series products, the Legatia L1 Pro tweeter, and the limited edition Legatia L1 Pro SE radiator ring tweeter.  Both products are sold ala carte, or can be combined with Legatia products to make a “hybrid” of the two product lines.  The next product released in the Legatia Pro Series line-up is the Legatia L1 Pro R2 (ring radiator) tweeter, an enhancement of the widely-acclaimed Legatia L1 Pro SE tweeter with shallower mounting depth.  The Legatia Pro L3, which will be the world’s finest 3” small format midrange, is expected soon.  Immediately following the L3 Pro will be the L6 Pro midbass.  The Pro series is a drop-in replacement for the existing Stage 3 Legatia products, and the future Stage 4 Legatia Special Edition products, for those wishing to enhance their audio systems, and/or to take advantage of Hybrid Audio Technology's Trade In and Trade Up program.

The Legatia L1 Pro™ SE Series tweeter is a limited-edition, super high-end mobile audio tweeter based upon the architecture of the original and highly-acclaimed Hybrid Audio Technologies Legatia L1 Pro transducer.  The Legatia Pro L1 SE is ring radiator tweeter that has superior damping and extended frequency response.  The Pro L1 SE is the new benchmark for radiator ring diaphragm tweeters.
