Legatia™ L2x Vertically-Biamplified Passive Crossover

The new vertically biamplified Legatia L2x passive crossovers have been specifically designed to work with any wide-bandwidth Hybrid Audio Technologies midrange, such as the Legatia L3, Legatia L4, Legatia L6, Clarus C5, or Clarus C6.  The crossover filters are also amenable to your choice of Legatia tweeter, whether it be the Legatia L1V2, the Legatia L1 Pro, or the Legatia L1 Pro SE, or the Clarus C1 tweeter.

The L2x crossovers are an attractive, high-performance filter set that contains hand-matched, high quality low tolerance parts, such as metalized polypropylene capacitors, air core low ESR inductors, and low tolerance ceramic resistors (for tweeter attenuation via the L-pad).  Also included is an industry-standard tweeter protection circuit to defend the Legatia tweeters from being over-driven, or from faulty amplifier circuitry and extreme input voltage.  The circuit board is a double-sided design with nickel-plated spring-loaded terminals for ease of installation and adjustment of tweeter attenuation.  The circuitry is protected in a handsome ABS plastic case, which contains a clear acrylic cover to view the circuitry, all of which is a proprietary Hybrid Audio Technologies design.

The L2x is a good solution for Legatia and/or Clarus two-way systems using a midrange and tweeter, or for three-way systems where the midbass is actively crossed over at the amplifier, and the midrange and tweeter need to be passively crossed-over.

Legatia™ L31-2V2 Set

The Legatia L31-2V2 is a pairing of the best small-format transducers Hybrid Audio manufactures, for the ultimate petite two-way component system for incorporation in three- and four-way front stage systems, with and without a dedicated subwoofer system (supplied separately).  The set begins with a pair of Legatia L1V2 tweeters, which accurately reproduce treble tones in the critical bandwidth of the set, in a small diameter 20mm soft-dome package.  The L1V2 tweeter's small diameter provides detail in the upper treble frequencies, and ensures easy installation with its nearly negligible mounting depth.  The set is rounded out with the best 3" cone midrange on the planet, the Legatia L3.  The L3 is the point-source driver in this pairing; the L3's frequency range covers six full octaves for precise imaging and staging detail and placement, and vocal tonality unsurpassed with designs that filter the tweeter into the vocal bandwidth.  All that is needed to compliment the L31-2V2 set is a low moving mass, fast, and detailed midbass/subwoofer driver, such as the Legatia L6 or L8 designs, respectively, for the ultimate dedicated three-way front stage system, or paired with a dedicated subwoofer for an incredible four-way front stage system.

Legatia™ L41-2V2 Set

The Legatia L41-2V2 is an incredible two-way component system which pairs the Legatia L1V2 tweeter with the ultra wide-bandwidth and tonally correct midrange driver, known as the Legatia L4.  Like the Legatia L31-2V2 set, the L41-2V2 set begins with a pair of Legatia L1V2 tweeters, which accurately reproduce treble tones in the critical bandwidth of the set, in a small diameter 20mm soft-dome package that fits in the palm of your hand.  The L1V2 tweeter is a small diameter impregnated silk soft-dome high frequency driver which can be listened to for hours without listener fatigue typical of metal dome drivers, and drivers with larger moving mass and larger diameter.  The L1V2 tweeter reproduces treble in a way that must be heard to be believed.  The set is rounded out with one of the widest bandwidth, and best-sounding 4" midranges on the market today, our crowning achievement, the Legatia L4.  The L4 was developed after two years of rigorous real-world testing, against designs costing up to six times as much as the L4 model.  In our unabashed opinion, this is the best car audio 4" midrange available today.  In concert with the L1 tweeter, this represents an entire front stage above 100 Hz, and can only be made better with the addition of a detailed midwoofer/subwoofer pairing, such as the Legatia L6 or L8 designs.

Legatia™ L61-2V2 Set

The Legatia L61-2V2 is an exciting two-way component set which boasts a pair of 7.1" (O.D.) Legatia L6 midbass drivers, and a pair of Legatia L1V2 20mm soft-dome tweeters.  Like the L31-2V2 and L41-2V2 sets, the L61-2V2 set once again utilizes the natural-sounding Legatia L1V2 tweeters, to cover the broad spectrum of tones above 5,000 Hz.  The L1V2 tweeter is perfectly suited in this capacity with its wide-bandwidth operation, and tonally correct character.  The midbass for this set is our awesome Legatia L6 wide-bandwidth midbass/midrange driver, for the ultimate two-way component system package.  Like its smaller sibling the Legatia L4, the Legatia L6 midbass/midrange is a wide-bandwidth transducer that effectively reproduces tones exceeding six complete octaves, without noticeable cone breakup.   For many users, the low frequency extension of the L6, combined with the wide bandwidth design of each driver, makes the Legatia L61-2 set all you may need to reach sonic nirvana in your car without a dedicated subwoofer system.
