We Crown Yet Another Champion and Takes USACi Mexico Nationals Sound Quality Best of Show
Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 2:38PM Not even one month after David Edwards' perfect MECA ModEx season ended with a world championship, and the dominating performance by John Sketoe at the USACi Finals, Jorge Juaristi and Team Hybrids have done it again, winning yet another championship, this time including the coveted Sound Quality Best of Show.
Jorge Juaristi just returned from the USACi Mexican National Finals, grinning ear to ear as he clasped three large trophies, one of which he won for having the best sounding vehicle at the entire event. What makes this story even more amazing is that Juaristi is a first-year competitor and a do- it-yourself installer. “Jorge has had an amazing USACi season and we are very proud to have him as a part of Team Hybrids” exclaimed Scott Buwalda, founder of Hybrid Audio Technologies. “As a rookie, the learning curve is steep and Jorge did a wonderful job this year.”
Jorge's front stage speaker system is exclusive to Hybrid Audio Technologies Legatia products. “I use the Legatia L841-3 system and I couldn't ask for anything more” stated Juaristi when asked about the system for his rookie year. “Before I decided to build my car I went to MECA Finals last year in Nashville to listen to the best vehicles in the world, and to get a reference. After I heard every car there I bought the Hybrid Audio Technologies products and immediately made application to try and become a member of their competition team, Team Hybrids. Not only did the sound and the quality of the product convince me, but also being amongst some of the world’s foremost competitors inspired me to try my hand at car audio competition. Team Hybrids has changed my life forever and I am grateful to Scott Buwalda and Hybrid Audio Technologies for making a great product and being instrumental in my victory and Best of Show honors at the USACi Mexican National Finals.”
This season Juaristi competed in eight car audio competitions, taking home six first place trophies in the very difficult Intermediate Consumer class in USACi. Even though a rookie, Juaristi decided to compete in the more difficult class. Earlier in the year, on August 30-31, Juaristi also was the highest placing rookie in the Olympic-style invitational “money” round in Tulsa, OK with a 14th place finish out of more than thirty of the best cars in North America. The next stop for Juaristi is the IASCA North American Finals in March!
With this win, Juaristi has put Hybrid Audio Technologies on the map in Mexico, and plans are already underway to begin promoting the Hybrid Audio Technologies products through an exclusive distributor, to be named before the turn of the New Year.
